Customer Review :
Attaches easily to any bicycle; NOT EVERY BIKE!!!
The Tech Details for the GSC-10 states "Attaches easily to any bicycle; 1-year warranty" Many retro or comfort cycle owners should verify there frame will allow alignment of the three parts to attach properly. The spoke magnet has to align with the GSC-10 sensor, not a problem.
On my Electra Townie, a comfort class bike, the pedal crank arm is located too far forward to allow alignment of the third sensor. The pedal crank arm magnet is required to align with the GSC-10 and the spoke magnet in order to measure your pedaling strokes per minute.
It is not critical for operation, but you will be unable to measure your pedaling strokes per minute. Although a general road touring cyclist, I did purchase the unit and the Edge 705 in order to measure everything I could. It was disappointing to learn AFTER the fact that I will miss a key measure.

Speed Sensor
Great product. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to gather cadence and speed data during the winter months on the trainer this is the way to go. Do not expect the same speed as outdoors de to the resistance but this will still give great work data indoors and a good sensor outdoors too.

Works, but not great
This is actually the 4th sensor I own, this one is replacing one of the 3 I own that quit working. I have a total of 3 sensors on 3 different bikes. I originally wanted to use these on the bike to give me cadence, but never have had good luck with getting that to work consistently or at all with my FR305. What I do use these for is riding the trainer inside PLUS it helps stabilize the speed of the garmins outside. The FR305 without this has a tendency to be flaky with calculating speed outside on a bike, these units seem to help. Its not a great product, but it does work most of the time. Battery life is fair at best, but the cr2032 watch batteries are cheap. I have owned 2 FR305 units, my first came apart on a bike ride and was ko'd by a car. They are pretty decent, and work well with running in clear skies. Although they also have issues, I did replace it when it was ko'd, the information I receive 95% of the time was worth purchasing another, plus I can move it from bike to bike to my arm when I run or hike.

Works great, but??
The item works great. However, it seems to constantly get out of adjustment and the ticking noise can drive you crazy. Easy to readjust. Needs better fastening options to keep it in place.

easy to install-works with 405
Purchased for use w/405. Easy to install and reads speed and cadence effectively. wireless is great. Also speed sensor is located on rear wheel which allows for speed reading when used on bike trainer. Nothing fancy...but do job as intended w/out hassle.
